You don’t have to set big goals to accomplish big things. But you do have to focus on the process. The day to day stuff.
If you’re living a good life, doing good things and continuously learning, big things will likely happen as a result.
If you focus on a prize–an end result, it may actually distract you from the process. You might do things that damage your chances of reaching that goal.
And your goal may be wrong. Goals are a product of the imagination. We imagine what would make us happier, then we go after it, but we’re often wrong about what will make us happier.
If we focus on being happy in the moment, and on living a good life and developing good habits, we’ll be more likely to accomplish big things. The right big things.
