Sometimes, often actually, living with purpose will require you to leave some money on the table. Living with purpose isn’t about maximizing profits, it’s about being of service. It’s about living out your calling.
It’s helpful in a way, to think of your life as a business. But if we carry that way of thinking too far, life loses meaning. Large corporations tend to operate with the goal of maximizing earnings per share for their shareholders, but people who live with purpose tend to maximize the potential of the people around them.
