A Sense Of Meaning

One of the reasons we sometimes lose a sense of meaning in life is we’re often too self-focused. We have our mind on ourselves and our problems too often. And we want our circumstances, and the meaning of life itself, to meet our expectations.

It’s our expectations that make us unhappy and cause us to lose hope. We have to let go of not only our expectations, but our desire to find a concrete meaning to life. We have to trust, in spite of our questions, that there is meaning in the universe.

There will be times when we’ll catch a glimpse of that meaning and times when we’ll lose sight of it. Just trust that there will be times when it will touch you. And that in the end, when this life is finished, there will be a greater revelation.

God is telling a story, and that story has something to do with love.
