Though reading the bible isn’t for everyone, and we shouldn’t blindly believe everything we read in the bible, there is an overarching message in the bible worth believing in: trust God and love people.

I have several hours per day to remind myself of the importance of trusting God and loving people, yet I still fail to do it consistently. That’s how flawed I am. All the more evidence that I need God.

If we can show our children, through our actions, that we trust God and love people, that will be more powerful than anything we preach to them.
