We often ignore what we have, in pursuit of what we don’t have. We think that other things will make us happier or more secure. But we would do better if we focused more on what we already have.
It’s good to be a bit hungry. That helps us get ahead. But when we’re not so focused on getting, we appreciate what we already have and those things “taste” better.
There’s less to want when we really appreciate what we have. If we got everything we wanted, some of those things wouldn’t be good for us anyway. What seems unfair, is sometimes doing us a favor.
