We’re all waiting for life (or death) to reveal something to us. We’re waiting for the truth to emerge. We want to know why we’re here—what this life is all about—if it’s about anything at all.
Some things we know, but the ultimate truth remains a mystery. Life teaches us more about it if we remain open, but it’s still just a shadow, like Plato’s cave or Paul’s “dim mirror“.
Many of our frustrations stem from our struggles with truth, including some of our disagreements. Sometimes we express our frustration in constructive ways, and sometimes in destructive ones. The destructive ways often result from lying to ourselves about the best way to express it.
As always, be honest with yourself.
