One of the reasons we sometimes lose a sense of meaning in life is because we often focus too much on ourselves. We find our minds preoccupied with our own problems and wanting life to meet our personal expectations.
It’s our expectations that lead to frustration when life doesn’t fit neatly into the box we’ve created. We need to not only lower our expectations, but also release our desire for a concrete meaning and trust that life will sometimes touch us in meaningful ways.
