It’s difficult to find genuine people, as most are often mimicking others. It’s not easy to be yourself when most of the people around you aren’t being themselves, especially if they expect you to be like them.
But when we choose authenticity, we become mirrors of truth. Those around us see that they’re not being themselves, and they either admire you or resent you for it (some of those who resent you probably have secret admiration).
Being yourself can be lonely, but the world needs you to do it. This doesn’t mean speaking without filters—it means being the you that has thought things through and isn’t afraid to express those insights when they are needed.
