True Vision

When we don’t fully know someone, we tend to fill in the blanks with our imagination. The same applies to places and situations. We often mistake our imaginings for actual knowledge. And in some cases, we recognize it’s our imagination, but believe the fantasy will become reality.

That is the root of disappointment—imagining what you hope reality will be, only to discover you were wrong.

We’re not entitled to have our fantasies become reality. It’s important to distinguish fantasy from vision. By all means, have a realistic vision for your future—and diligently work toward it.
