Be of service to the people you love, but also ask for a reasonable degree of reciprocity. You’ll know how deeply you’re loved by how well you’re cared for in return.

That’s essential, because love can turn to anger, and eventually resentment, if it’s not reciprocated.

Love reveals itself through action. It must show up even when it’s hard, and in the ways that matter most to the receiver.
