Getting It Right Is More Important Than Being Right

There once was a stubborn man
who often went against the grain,
doing only what he wanted.

At times, this helped him
avoid some of the traps
that crowd-followers would fall into.

Unfortunately, his stubbornness was so extreme
that even when the crowd was right
he would go against it.

The desire to feel right
was more important to him
than making the best decisions.

Around that same time,
there was another man, equally stubborn—
he too preferred going against the rules
and enjoyed the feeling of being right.

The difference was, results
were more important to him.

The first man clung to the comfort of being right—
the second sought the power of getting it right.
