Watching a spider make a web is boring if you take it for granted—if you’re not mindful of how amazing it is, if you don’t look at what’s actually happening. The fact that the spider even exists is a miracle, let alone that it knows how to make something with such precision and symmetry for a specific purpose.

Life can feel mundane, but that’s not because of circumstances so much as it is perspective. Daily life is largely repetitive, but we also have a habit of looking at things in the same old, mundane way.

Look closer. Pay more attention. Be mindful.
