You don’t have time to fight against stupidity. When someone wants to believe something, it can be next to impossible to change their mind, no matter how crazy their beliefs are or how reasonable your argument is.

You’ll have a much better chance with people who are open-minded. Especially if it’s someone who already has a lot of respect for you. Bring them over to your side, and maybe they can convince some of their friends.
