Ambition and Mindfulness

Ambition is dangerous. It can destroy you. It disguises itself as benevolent. But it’s actually a malevolent dictator.

The opposite of ambition isn’t laziness or apathy. The opposite is mindfulness. Mindfulness puts priorities in order, and teaches us when it’s appropriate to take action.

Ambition says, I want that and I’ll do whatever I have to do to get it.

Mindfulness says, this is what needs to be done and this is the way to do it.
