“I’m just trying to help my students hear the birds sing.” ~ Unknown
Silence isn’t the absence of sound. It’s the absence of noise, distractions, disturbances, etc. Including our own inner dialogue — the conversations we have with ourselves.
Inviting silence into our life is an act of letting go. A letting go of our desire to figure everything out. A letting go of the running narrative in our mind. A letting go of obsessive judgment.
It’s surrender to the present moment. Surrender to deep inner awareness. Surrender to the presence of God within us.
