We should teach our kids to be realistic and to not expect to get everything they want. But they’re full of dreams, and to them anything is possible. They see possibility that we adults lose sight of.

From an early age kids see the world as full of opportunity. Opportunity for them to do things that interest and excite them, and that make them feel important. They’re not aware of all the roadblocks yet, and there are many, but we should try to clear as many roadblocks as we can.

At the very least we should avoid putting obstacles in the way. We should avoid needless discouragement.
