The Things We Value

When you’re about to lose something important to you, you realize how important it actually is. Not only do we tend to take important things for granted, but we sometimes consider them a nuisance. If only we could get something else or doing something else, then things would be better—then we’d be content. Or so we think. That is, until it becomes reality.

Our imagination is powerful, but limited when it comes to imagining what will make us happy. Take stock of what you already have—be mindful of what is already precious to you.
