There are things we know we shouldn’t do. Sometimes we know we shouldn’t do them even while we’re doing them. We do them anyway because the immediate reward overshadows the regret we felt before.
And that can become a bad habit.
Bad habits can be broken, but not easily. Breaking them starts with a new habit: mindfulness. It prevents impulsiveness. It quiets the inner voices that mislead us. And it helps us see the consequences clearly.
