Whether you do something or not often depends on what you tell yourself. Aside from external restraints, the conversations we have with ourselves largely determine how much of our potential we realize.
When we say we’re doing our best, we usually mean we’re doing the best we currently know how to do. We’re almost always capable of doing better. The potential is there.
A little progress each day is enough. It adds up over time. Small daily improvements may not sound like much, but doing them consistently across the many areas of life is actually a huge challenge.
We won’t reach perfection, but we can work on realizing our potential. Our capacity is closer to perfection than our current state.
Keep learning, and your best will continue to improve.
