Durable Decisions

“If it’s at all close, we pass.” ~ Warren Buffett

Life is a game of decision-making. You’re dealt a hand, and it’s up to you to play it wisely.

One of the best decisions you can make is to make fewer of them. That doesn’t mean considering fewer options, though. It’s important to turn over lots of stones. But it’s the rare gems you’re looking for—the exceptional opportunities—the most rewarding ones. Those are the ones you’ll want to seize.

Make durable decisions—decisions you’ll be happy with decades from now, decisions your older self will applaud. Put yourself in your future self’s shoes. What advice would your eighty-year-old self give you today?
