Calibrated Anger

Loss of control is a form of amnesia. In the heat of the moment, we temporarily forget the reasons we should remain calm. But calm, calculated counter-measures are what usually produce results, not rash outbursts and retaliation.

Sometimes rage is a sign that you care too much about the outcome—the expectation you set in your mind not matching reality. If you must express your anger, be sure it’s proportional to the issue. Don’t overreact.
