“A waiting person is a patient person. The word patience means the willingness to stay where we are and live the situation out to the full in the belief that something hidden there will manifest itself to us.” ~ Henri Nouwen
Marriage is an example of something you don’t want to be quick to throw away. There might still be something in it worth hanging on to.
And the things that bother you now about the person you’re married to may not bother you in the future. You might find a way of dealing with those issues or you might realize there’s something about yourself that needs to change.
Don’t assume you have the entire picture now. You only have part of it. Be patient. And in the meantime, focus on the good parts of the situation you’re in. You’ll look back one day and miss those parts.
