A Safe Assumption

We want to believe things we don’t actually know. It makes us feel better about the fact that we know very little. Admitting that you don’t know is the beginning of knowing.

Protect yourself against your own ignorance. Assume that you’re going to change your mind about certain things in the future. Assume that you’re wrong about some things you currently believe. Make decisions with that in mind so you’ll do a better job of managing risk.
