We live in a world of diversity. We can’t even imagine what it would be like if everything and everyone were the same. But that doesn’t stop us from wanting everyone to be like us.

The truth is that we wouldn’t like it if they were. The reason is that we’re not as perfect as we like to think we are. Encountering other copies of ourselves would expose that.
