Live Deliberately

Many of the things we do are mindless—we don’t really know why we’re doing them. We make decisions all day long without really understanding the reasons for them. We tend to fill in the reasons afterward.

Good decisions come from a state of mindfulness. Mindfulness is being aware of everything we think, everything we feel, and everything we do. It’s about taking ourselves off autopilot and living deliberately.

Start with silence. Start with a quiet mind.

“I went to the woods, because I wished to lived deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” ~ Henry David Thoreau
